My name is Michelle Ferdinandi and I am an accounting professional providing QuickBooks and other consulting services for small businesses in MA and RI.

My Company

I founded Forte Accounting, Co to help small businesses grow while managing their work-life balance. As a business owner, wife, and mother, it sometimes seems like there is not enough time in the day to get everything done.

I will help you with accounting for your business, so you can focus on what’s important: running and growing your business, and doing things you enjoy. For me, founding Forte Accounting, Co is the pursuit of a lifelong dream of starting my own part-time accounting business and being able to spend more time with my family.

I have always had a strong work ethic, so I will bring passion and dedication to my clients, and deliver a high quality product. I strive for efficiency in all aspects of my life, so I will work with my clients to determine the best process for providing requested services.

I am a member of the QuickBooks ProAdvisor® Program and I am certified on both QuickBooks® Desktop and Online. I am also proficient in Microsoft Office® software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and am very comfortable with technology in general.

Background

I graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Accounting in 2006, and a M.S. in Accounting in 2007. I maintained my Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license from January 2009 until June 2016.

I began my career working in public accounting for four years at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Boston, MA. At PwC, I worked on multiple engagements simultaneously and supervised multiple staff members on each engagement, which helped me develop strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Subsequently, I was a Senior Internal Auditor at CVS Health (CVS) in Woonsocket, RI for three years. At CVS, I frequently worked with business leaders to identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and gain operational efficiencies. I also worked on recurring tasks such as internal control testing for Sarbanes-Oxley, journal entry testing, and quarterly general ledger account fluctuation analysis.

Since then I have been running my company and helping my clients do what they love!
